MyPlayYard, the free games portal, announced on a new contest, as from Oct. 2011 and on, users can register and upload their games to myplayyard, the games will be “Auto approved”, meaning, they will be playable by the other users as soon as the the game being uploaded.

Every Monday, MyPlayYard’s team will check the rating of the submitted games, the game with the highest rating which had been rated by at least 20 users will win the weekly prize, currently, 120$.

It seems that they have another, unofficial prize, the Editor of the portal chooses the game that he loves best and give its submitter a 60$ prize, the “Editor Choice” prize.

So far, there were 4 weekly contests.

The results of the contest are being published by email to all of the registered players of MyPlayYard.com and in different arcade forums, such as this one.

It seems that it is all a part of the new design and concept which try to give the player a better experience and much more fun while playing there.
