A tank arrives on a beach. You press W, A, S, and D (or the arrow keys), and realize that you are driving the tank. Suddenly, there is enemy fire! You’re surrounded! Armed soldiers, enemy tanks, and turrets are all gunning for you. Don’t be alarmed — it’s your job to take them out. Pressing 1, 2, 3, or the Shift keys will cycle through your weapons, so pick one, aim with your mouse, and start shooting!

Tank Blitz Zero is a top-down, shooter game in which you control a tank on a mission of pure destruction. Drive over, and smash enemy soldiers. Blast enemy Tanks. Take out stationary turrets. Make it to the mission checkpoints, and there are up to 50 different upgrades to choose from. Keep an eye on your health, because everyone in sight is shooting back at you. Don’t forget to watch your ammo levels, too.

The weapons at your disposal are a machine gun, a mortar, and a cannon. All aiming, and firing of weapons is done with the mouse. Cycling through these weapons can be done with the 1, 2, and 3 keys, or with Shift. Let’s try the machine gun first. The machine gun gets hot when you fire it, so watch the heat levels rise. A hot machine gun fires better than a cold one. Don’t let it get too hot, though, or it will overheat and stop firing. Switch weapons and you’re now firing a mortar. Holding down the left mouse button charges this weapon, and releasing the button fires a mortar. Watch the range meter circle while holding down the mouse button. This will tell you how much to charge the mortar before firing in order to hit the desired target. Switch weapons again and the cannon comes into play. The cannon has magazines that hold multiple shells. When empty, the cannon will automatically reload. Stopping the reload marker in the green zone supercharges the next magazine. You can also reload before a magazine is empty by pressing the R key.

As you destroy your enemies, you will be rewarded with money which can be spent at checkpoints, so take out as many enemies as possible. There are 50 possible upgrades for your vehicle at the checkpoints. When your tank is strong enough, plow through the final enemy gate.
